MONiKA NAČEVA & TiM WRiGHT :- The Sick Rose °}
Po triphopově-šamanském albu MAMi, ještě šamanštější etno-taneční desce FONTANELA, temně tripovém MiMOiDU a dvou předchozích, řekněme ‘zahřívacích’ deskách, vydala herečka a zpěvačka Monika Načeva společně s britským instrumentalistou a programátorem Timem Wrightem album SiCK ROSE (Nemocná růže).
After triphop-shamanic album MAMi, more shamanic ethno-healing record FONTANELA, dark-trip MiMOiD and a couple of previous, lets say ‘warming up’ titles, Czech singer and actor Monika Načeva made new album called The SiCK ROSE in co-operation with British sound artist Tim Wright.
Project is based on interpretations of poems, penned originally by Karel Hlaváček, Antonín Sova, Irma Geissler and William Blake. Album was released by Christopher Robin label in conclusion with visual arts exhibition DECADENCE NOW. Monika previously contributed to presentation of project DEKADENCE / BOHEMiAN LANDS 1880-1914 with her 17-minute version of Serge Gainsbourgh / Jane Birkin La decadanse song, made together with David Cajthaml – free download here.
Tim Wright, bases in York, GB, earlier provided beats to songs Obrovský slunce (Huge Sun) and Ohnivá voda (Fire Water) for previous Monika album MAMi, which still sounds great after 3+ years. New album will be presented live as part of exhibition DECADENCE NOW in Praha, Brno and Slovak capital Bratislava. Načeva is currently performing live also with Prague based singer and guitar player Justin Lavash, turntablist DJ Five, or Czech guitar virtuoso and composer Michal Pavlíček.
