Some important events at Jazz Dock this week. On Monday, June 27, first cd of PROJECT Z will be launched. Group started about year ago as trio of guitar player Petr Zelenka, saxophonist & bass clarinettist Marcel Bárta and drummer Daniel Šoltis. Later they invited Rodrigo Parejo, Dutch based Spanish flautist, and their concert at Jazz Dock was recorded for Czech Public Radio. Studio album for Animal Music was recorded in September 2o1o at Studio Svárov and mixed in February 2o11 at studio Sono. Adventurous music collection features mostly Petr Zelenka's compositions and number of collective improvisations.

PRAGUE PROMS 2o11 festival has also organised interesting evening at Jazz Dock. On June 29, there will be multi-genre musicall gathering. Evening starts 7PM with Epoque Quartet with singer / violin player Gabriela Vermelho (of Maraca) and percussionist Camillo Caller. From 8:20 trio of pianist and composer Beata Hlavenková is on the bill, then Czech quartet of Dutch saxophone & woodwinds player Cyrille Oswald with David Dorůžka (guitar), Tomáš Liška (double bass) and Daniel Šoltis (drums).
From 11PM there is most experimental part of evening - Vertigo pianist Vojtěch Procházka will be preparing white dock piano with assistance from sound and video manipulator Martin Blažíček. Their preformance at K4 club weeks ago was simply magnificient. PROMS @ dock are contonuing around  midnight with last act - Bucinatores Sextet, little brass band led by trombonist, composer and arranger Jan Jirucha, Jr. Entrance for whole evening costs 250 czk only. From other PRAGUE PROMS programme i would like to mention quintet of renowned trumpet player TERENCE BLANCHARD with his usual bandmates on July 6 at Mánes.
