Jazz at Strings of Autumn festival

Renowned international festival Strings of Autumn brings to Prague one of the most acclaimed artists in history of jazz, master saxophonist CHARLES LLOYD with his new quartet - pianist Jason Moran, bassist Reuben Rogers and drummer Eric Harland. Their second album Mirror was released last year on ECM. Lloyd (born 1938), who is in forefront of the scene since late sixties, when he formed quartet with Keith Jarrett, Jack DeJohnette and Cecil McBee, is returning to Prague after 44 years since his appearance at Prague International Jazz Festival. Concert at Dvořák Hall of Rudolfinum starts at 7.30 PM.



Next jazz concert at Strings of Autumn will be trio of American pianist ROBERT GLASPER at Roxy, November 6. Prevoius day at the same place Glasper will perform with his hiphop-inspired Experiment Project as part of crossover Spotlight night, which include also trio of guitarist David Dorůžka with guest saxophonist Luboš Soukup and New York based CPR trio with organist Ondřej Pivec and saxophonist Karel Růžička Jr., among others.
