Jon Anderson & Paul Green Rock Academy slaví 51 let od vydání alba Close To The Edge
JON ANDERSON (John Roy Anderson, *25.10.1944) byl zpěvákem, skladatelem a textařem progrockové legendy YES od jejich založení v roce 1968. V roce 1980 je opustil a vydal se na sólovou dráhu. Ještě předtím, v roce 1979, začala jeho úspěšná spolupráce s řeckým klávesistou a skladatelem Vangelisem pod hlavičkou JON AND VANGELiS. V roce 1983 se přidal k bývalým kolegům z Yes a byl z toho návrat kapely s novým kytaristou Trevorem Rabinem na albu 90125. V roce 1988 se spojil s dalšími kolegy z Yes pod hlavičkou ANDERSON BRUFORD WAKEMAN HOWE, o dva roky později došlo ke spojení obou sestav na novém albu a turné Union. Členem Yes pak byl do roku 2008. V letech 2016-2020 koncertovala sestava ANDERSON RABiN WAKEMAN (ARW), později pod hlavičkou YES featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman, která vydala živé album Live At The Apollo (2018). Jon Anderson dosud vydal také15 sólových, žánrově rozmanitých alb a hostoval na řadě alb dalších interpretů - například Lizard od King Crimson (1970) nebo Crises Mikea Oldfielda (1983).
Roku 2021 začala Andersonova spolupráce s PAUL GREEN ROCK ACADEMY, ve které studují muzikantští adepti ve věku 8 až 18 let. Za jejich doprovodu zazní na letošním turné (stejně jako vloni) kompletní album Close To The Edge od Yes, které vyšlo v roce 1972 v sestavě Jon Anderson, Steve Howe (kytary), Rick Wakeman (klávesy), Chris Squire (baskytara) a Bill Bruford (bicí) a stalo se milníkem progresivního rocku. Jeho první strana obsahuje titulní 18-minutovou skladbu, na druhé jsou kratší kusy Siberian Khatru a And You And I.
Závěrečný koncert evropského turné Jona Andersona s PGRA v Brně proběhne 9. srpna 2023 v Sono Centru. V první části vystoupí samostatně Rocková akademie Paula Greena, ve druhé dojde na společný set o délce 2 a 1/4 hodiny.
YES letos vydali své čtvrté album po definitivním odchodu Jona Andersona, nazvané Mirror To The Sky. Ze zakládajících členů už v kapele nikdo po smrtí basisty Chrise Squirea v roce 2015 nikdo nezůstal, služebně nejstarším členem je kytarista Steve Howe.

Unreleased live recordings of Czech prog and more
Czechoslovak progressive rock group M.Efekt (also known as Blue Effect) captured live in Volyně, South Bohemia, on May 11, 1979. At their prime time, they were really willing to improvise, so tracks vary compared to studio versions.
